Anime Ability Arena Controls

Clean inputs win fights in Anime Ability Arena (Roblox Ability Arena by Banjomeni). Every moveset shares the same control skeleton — move, jump, basic attack, then E, Q, and R skills — but dash directions, aim modes, and camera behavior change how each ability feels. This page documents the default bindings on PC, how mobile and console map the same actions, and habits that stop you from whiffing cooldowns in crowded lobbies.

If you are brand new, read Getting Started first, then return here when you unlock a kit with an R ability like Lightning or Knight.

WASD movement is standard Roblox third-person. Hold Space for jumps; several kits modify jump height temporarily (Slime’s Slimed on Q, Retro Fighter’s Retro Jump on R).

M1 is your fallback when abilities are on cooldown. Good players weave M1 between E combos instead of staring at the skill bar.

E, Q, and R across movesets

Not every ability uses R, but the pattern is consistent:

• E — main damage tool: projectiles, slams, beams, or melee finishers.
• Q — mobility or setup: dashes, teleports, stealth, defense buffs, or attack speed boosts.
• R — power spike where present: Lightning Power Up, Knight Block, Pirate Cannon, The Hero’s Super Punch, and similar.

Examples from early unlocks:

• Wind — E push, Q dash (no R).
• Fire — E fireball, Q rage buff (no R).
• Lightning — E strike, Q double teleport, R speed power-up.
• Knight — E cut, Q dash, R block.

Shift Lock on PC

Ability Arena fights happen in 360 degrees. Without Shift Lock, your character may not face the direction you expect when firing E skills or M1 swings. Enable Roblox Shift Lock in settings or hold Shift if your client binds it that way.

Shift Lock helps:

• Aiming Fireball, Ice Spear, and Archer volleys.
• Dashing with Q in the direction you are actually facing.
• Tracking enemies during Lightning Teleport chains.

Turn it off only if you are comfortable with manual camera control during dashes.

Mobile controls (iOS and Android)

Mobile uses an on-screen joystick for movement, jump button, M1 attack button, and dedicated E, Q, and R buttons when your moveset includes them. Layout can feel cramped on small screens — increase Roblox UI scale if you mis-tap dashes.

Tips for mobile:

• Drag the camera with your right thumb while moving with your left.
• Tap E before Q in combos; accidental Q first burns escape tools.
• Kits with narrow skill shots (Archer, Beam) are harder on touch — Beginner Picks suggests forgiving alternatives.

Console controls (Xbox and PlayStation)

Console players use controller sticks for movement and camera, with face buttons mapped to jump, attack, and abilities depending on Roblox’s default layout for the game. Exact button letters vary by platform, but E/Q/R map to three ability slots in order.

Cooldown discipline
